Just want to have a discussion about Dexters style and how his character is dressed for the warm climate.

Does anyone know what brands he wears; what do you guys think about button downs, shorts and color combinations of shorts and shoes.

I find it very very hard to match shoes with shorts. I'm not sure how eccentric the contrast in colors should be but then again if they are both all one color it's more like a uniform.

this summer, which pretty much starts in late february for me, I'm thinking of trying some penguin shorts with some White mixed cortez. I can post pics of the shoes if anyone would like.

+1. A friend of mine dressed up as serial-killer Dexter for Halloween. He isn't anywhere as physically fit as Michael C. Hall. He didn't look like Dexter Morgan, he looked like a guy wearing a henley, cargo pants, and a pair of combat boots. I didn't have the heart to tell him that, though.

In terms of Dexter's "incognito" wear, I read somewhere once that it is mostly Banana Republic and Express.

Yeah, I don't think his style is that great. Pretty much its just a button down that has obviously been tailored and matched with khakis. What makes it attractive looking is his chest width and body proportions due to his physique (no ****).

Was hoping to get into the discussion of summer style.

Yeah i'm getting there physically.

His button up short sleeves can't be from Br or Express right? that would be a bit disappointing...

Well then, the topic should've been "summer style".

I've always preferred dressing for the summer than the winter, although I am beginning to appreciate the richer possibilities in cold-weather clothing. For the summer, I try to emphasize interesting textures and light fabrics. I have these awesome cream-colored linen-silk trousers that I love. I also just bought (like tonight) this shirt by Shirt By Shirt that appears to have a nice dobby weave.

I always thought doakes had a much better body. Dexter looks good in a henley, but I don't like any of his other outfits.

I'm pretty sure I've made a comment while watching Dexter before about how that shirt is from BR; I might be thinking about Micheal Weston from Burn Notice though. Equally awesome show!

Doakes was fuckin pumped. I wasn't a big fan of some of his fits though.
Quinn's showed some promise.
