Sorry about that. I'm still learning this, and as I said, I realized afterward that someone here would have been interested. Next time I'll know better.

Naw, no worries. I am just numb now that the shock has worn off...

I myself picked up this little number yesterday. Vintage '60s Hickey-Freeman with lots of fun details. Two-button sack with high narrow lapels, Oxxford-esque notches, hacking pockets and side vents for $15 and tax. It's a fantastic suit that just needs some tailoring work.

Quick and dirty photo of the jacket:

Further to my first post... today I picked up a practically new BB Golden Fleece suit. It's a charcoal with a thin lavender pinstripe. For $20 and in my size I figured I had to grab it. I've always tended to dress conservatively, but the lavender pinstripe will challenge me to be a bit more outgoing (suggestions?). Getting closer to that Brioni anyway...

Do they have other shoes in stock? I'd love to get my first pair of AEs at that price. Not sure what my size in AE is but it is probably an 11D or maybe a 10.5D (my rockports are a bit big at 11.5 but I dont know how AE runs).

I nabbed a light blue w/ brown sort of floral pattern (although it almost looks paisley from afar) Robert Talbott Best of Class tie. I might end up selling it though...I'm kind of tall and so when I tie it to the right length I feel like the taper and knot look kind of funny.

Three pair of vintage shoes yesterday. The two pictured are black Florsheim Kenmoor longwings in near perfect condition. The soles and heels have very light wear. The other pair are NOS tan plain toe bluchers in pristine condition. The third pair are vintage Nettleton split toes that look to have been made in the '50s. They were probably not worn more than 2 or 3 times. All the same size which, unfortunately, is not mine. Soon to appear on the B&S forum.

^ Nice. I once thrifted a sweater with similar shoulder buttons design in charcoal color. But the brand is the somewhat hipster-conscious United Colors of Benetton; interesting that the usually safe Polo RL have it too.

Well, I'm getting closer. I've been out often lately, and today I picked up a mint condition Super 120 Corneliani charcoal grey suit. It looks as though it's not been worn more than a handful of times if that, and it's very recent. $30 at SA, plus a little tailoring. BTW, I took it to my tailor right away and he thought it was a very fine suit.

I also grabbed a brown/green BB 1818 glen plaid suit for $15 for good measure. I don't have a suit in this colour/pattern, and it'll make a good autumn working suit.

BTW, how do you guys ever stop thrifting?

Had a good day at the Goodwill near my work. I don't know why I don't go here more often. It's only about 15 min. from my work, it's in an affluent neighborhood and I've always found good stuff there. This was my first time here in a month, though. Two Martin Margiela Shirts. $5.99 a piece. I didn't even think any guys in Minnesota have ever heard of Margiela. One Cuffs and Collars shirt. Very cool with contrasting silk trim at the collars and cuffs. $5.99 AE Burtons in my size. $6.99 Baekgaard messenger bag, just in time for " back to school". Looks unused, and appears to be a current model as it's shown on the homepage: http://www.baekgaardltd.com/ It's no Berluti, but it's still very nice. Anyone know what these things run for normally?

Did OK I think again today. I got a pair of burnished calf Park Avenues in a 10B (I think I wear a 9.5 D, but I am not sure about that either, it is just what I have bought before and feels OK). These were 25 bucks in as new as a used shoe could look. Way better than anything I have seen at discount or thrift stores before.

If anybody has anything in a 9.5 D in good shape they want to trade PM me.

I also got a Zegna Sport flannel shirt for 25 bucks at the same consignment shop I got the shoes at. I also got a RLPL Keaton shirt in pretty loud multi-coloured strips. They had two more, one in red stripe and one in purple but I passed. They were 35 each.

If I lived in PHX all the time I think I would be much better dressed than I am. This consignment place I was at had a few Brioni suits for under 100 bucks (not dated looking either) and a bunch of other suits for very cheap, one Oxxford that did not fit too.

Very soft Jil Sander Grey Jacket for $30 almost like fleece, anyone know what those kind of jackets are retail?

They had a nice Brioni suit size 38S for $79 but it was a bit heavy for me in AZ.
