Went today at lunch... What I did grab:

My first Hartmann! A burgundy leather briefcase. A bit beat up, but should be good for another decade or more:

Thoughts on cleaning it up with shoe cream to fill in the scuff colors before selling, or should I leave it as-is? Available

What I didn't pick up....

A Wenger black leather purse / carryall with the red w/ white plus Swiss Army symbols on the zipper pulls. Not sure if I should have grabbed it or not...

Also, this Pavone made in Italy suit that felt canvassed with pick stitching, size 42S... Didn't look like they sell for anything on the bay, but it was well made. I'll proxy if anyone wants it

First, let me say that nothing's more expensive than a cheap Mercedes! :teach:
About 7 years ago, I was seriously ISO an older Mercedes from the 80's. One of the docs in the same practice had this 380SL as a daily driver. No heat, ran like crap, leather seats shot, etc. He had just scored a newer BMW :p and mentioned to SWMBO that he was considering getting rid of the SL and she asked how much he wanted.
"Tell you what. If he promises to take you for rides in it with the top down, you guys can have it."
She called me and asked if I wanted it even though there might be some issues with it. I told her I didn't care if it stayed parked in the driveway and I had to sit in it and make "Vroom vroom" noises, that I'd take it!
I have more than five but less than ten grand in it so far with more work to go but I never would have paid what a comparable car would have cost, otherwise. It's been a gradual, affordable thing, much like my current wardrobe.

Awesome! But you are right, a free used luxury car is never free. I know from experience (but never was lucky enough to get one free - I paid up for them!). SteveSmith is right, Pre 1983-ish BMWs and Mercedes were very simple to maintain and work on. Now they are computerized monstrosities. If you have an electrical problem in, say a 1989 BMW 7-series, expect to pay $500+ just to figure out what's causing it.

Ha. I'm new to this game and strictly look for stuff for me.

BUT....

I don't have pics here at work, but when I get home I will build a clothes Appreciation setup and give you the dets.

What do you require? A pic of the price tag, the inside brand tag, the jacket, front and back?

2 pairs of great condition Vineyard Vines flat front chinos in my size...ready for summer. A black Hickey Freeman Loro PIana 100% cashmere sport coat size 44 (too big for me). It is one of the softest garments I've ever felt, I nearly slept with it. A Zanella navy blazer, fully canvassed but non vented (sigh). And a cool vintage Harris Tweed with patch pockets, 38L or so.

first canali: 54R, double vented SC

first Armani: double breasted, peak lapels, unvented....pretty awesome tho. 46R

Oxxford SC(orphan? i don't really know) single vented, brown pin-stripe. No tagged size, will have to measure.

and a pair of vintage(i believe this is the older label?) Filson pants. Flat front but just TOO SHORT for me which sucks. about a 34x30 or so

467

left behind two jackets that had the label "Prince of Wales Sartoriale" until I could do more research...one had a loro piano label so I almost bit. Anyone know anything about that label?

Love that scarf, very nice. Also glad to see that the Cambridge's I sent you are solidly in the rotation!

Rubinacci. Pic don't do it justice. Woven silk. Circles are actually more towards brown than red.
