Pretty ordinary day. Liberty of London pocket square, a nice Dunhill polo and a NWT Polo Sport tee I bought to flip. I passed on some NWT Polo chinos, an RM Williams moleskin overcoat and a Stephens Brothers shirt since they weren't my size.

saw my first oxxford, too bad it was so beat up to purchase.. plus I wasn't very impressed by this jacket.. oxxford not even fully lined????

also saw a john varvatos converse jacket. This any good?

Oxxfords are quite frequently not fully lined. It's not a knock on the quality of construction. Unlined breathes better and shows off the handwork. Lesser brands line the jackets to cover up sloppy stitching, and this practice has become normative.

Hello styleforum. Long time reader, first time poster. On Topic, my last great thrift find was a late 70's vintage Oxxford camel hair sport coat. Fully lined, the other Oxxford sport coat I own is 3/8 lined. Been a dry couple of weeks, I've been sacrificing almost-buys to the thrift gods while praying for some nice shoes in my size.

What a day:

Store 1 - armfuls of Stephen Lachter bespoke shirts, T&A Sea Island, Harvie & Hudson etc. Lots of Louis Boston retailed suits and sportcoats from Chester Barrie, Zegna, Lumbs Golden Bale, Savile Row bespoke, and a Belvest pure cashere overcoat. Nothing my size, as from the same 41 R donor. Oh, and a pair of C&Js and a rocking silk smoking jacket.

Store 2 - someone's entire A Man bespoke wardrobe, an entire rail of half-lined tropical weight suits, also about a 41R.

None of the aforementioned clothing came close to fitting me, and there certainly wasn't enough margin to make it worthwhile to flip. Someone very lucky is going to dress very well for peanuts though.

Thrift Store Bragging Thread?

Well ... earlier this week I donated six suits, nine coats, seven pairs of odd trousers, one overcoat, twenty six shirts and miscellaneous other items.

Dude....pics/proxy? Especially the A Man suits....what colors/fabrics? You just described your fabulous meal you could barely pick at to a bunch of people who are sorting through trash to find a piece of crust! :fu:

The shirts were a 15.5-15.75 for those that were tagged, the rest were bespoke but I guess similar measurements.

We're talking London prices here though - shirts were $20-30, suits $75 and up. I'd happily pay that myself if they fit, but I'm going to guess it'll temper some of the enthusiasm for proxies.

Depending on the colors of the A Man suits I'm still interested. I have a full compliment of A Man in blue but other colors would intrigue me. Cost + shipping + finder's fee?

These are 'London' prices? Not in London!

Todays finds. And yes, I know, the only thing worth posting on here is the tie and shirt. Everything up for sale
