The Herringbone shop in Melbourne is actually quite close to Parliament station and literally under the Sofitel.

Any Brisbane members used lu lu fashions or PQ Fashions to do alterations?

If you know of a tailor happy to do alterations do brands that aren't his I'd be glad to know.

Cheers

I had Brisbane City Alterations shorten my suit jacket and sleeves (from the shoulder) on a suit I bought on sale from Herringbone.

Quite pleased with their work.

Rowes Arcade.

Serious Off topic question, I need your help Australians:

I remember hearing a slang pejorative term for I think Americans, but I can't recall it specifically. It wasn't anything I have heard before, so I think it is really an Australian thing.
Damn I am trying to at least point someone in right direction, but can't (maybe some play on words having to do with excrement??)

I use it Charlie. Well septic, rather than *****.

The Yanks were not fully loved by Australian men in WW11. The problem being that they were over-paid, over-sexed and over here.

Have a look at this thread for some suggestions:

I have used George at Richards & Richards (corner of Elizabeth and Edward Streets) a great deal over the past couple of years and he is excellent. Very friendly, very helpful, happy to do what you want, and very high level of workmanship.

I found a pair of 11.5 C RM Williams Brown leather chukkas leather soles - worn a bit - not worn out but ok - nothing great but good all rounder = $15.
Put it this way (as the Bishop said to the Choirboy) - if they were my size I'd have snapped them up.
-
PM me for location of Op Shop - Melb - eastern burbs

He won't make the extra distance at Flemington, that's why he's holding him back.

Still though, one of the top 5 horses on the planet right now.
