can anyone tell me the difference between the persol 2747 and the person 2720? I can't seem to see much of a difference, really.

Well it is 6 (or maybe 6+25 copay) more....but if I can get my insurance to cover the online ones, then it is more like 150-200 more. The insurance should take care of up to 125 on the frames and the full price of the lenses (but I might need to pay out of pocket for the polarization).

I'm sure there are cheaper eyeglass places (this one is right on S michigan ave next to my office) and maybe I could even find one that is willing to mark the polarization as something else on the bill so it gets included in the lens price (as I firmly believe it should...polarization should not be a $60 addon)

I do. I have a pair of them. Good glasses, good polarization. Very clean design, but they don't fit my style very well. I'm willing to sell them if you want them.

I had one of the frameless models with the carbon fiber arms. My only complaint was they were noisy...the nose pads would rattle a lot and the spots where the frame connected to the lenses would creak/crack (sound, not literally crack). Otherwise good shades and very light, they were just too sporty for what I was looking for. I would personally choose the Maui Jim Breakwall or the ones with the springy frames...those springy framed ones are SUPER light and comfy.

I just can't find glasses that fit my style.
Thank you for the feedback. If anyone else has had experience with these glasses, I'm looking foward to hearing about it.

Edit: longskate88
You gave me an amazing suggestion. I loved Maui Jim sunglasses. Do you have any of them ? I would love to hear about them.

Thanks !

+1 - the lighting makes it look alot more tiger stripe than it is IRL. Get a pic of that guy from Tommy Ton or whatever in adifferent shot and they'll probably look like what they are.
