That happens were I train all the time. Sometimes they put a trash can in the middle of the mat so you can yak and get back to work.

When I was in 6th grade, I played air guitar so hard to Metallica's Ride the Lightning that I threw up. Then I played more air guitar. (Serious post, by the way.)

Happenned to me a few years ago. We had a nanadan visiting (manager of the US national team btw which beat Japan last year at the WKC), and we were finishing with a sort of round-robin open 1:1 practice with him. Well, once he was done toying with me for several minutes (that is what it felt like from my side) I had to take off my gear and run downstairs to the gym lockers; I then proceeded to be sick 5-6 times in a row. Now the fact that I had some miso an hour or so before did not help. But man, that was unpelasant, and I very rarely puke, whether from alcohol, food poisoning or anything else. Yech.

P.s. the mengane (grill) on the kendo/naginata headpiece can work as a very effective filter for solid chunks which is another reason you want to get the thing off before that happens

We watched it during walkthru the next day over and over and over. I'll try to find the video and put it up on youtube and link it if I can.

The first day of conditioning for soccer, after we were done running and huddled up, I felt it come up so I ran away from the group and barfed (10-15 yards - everyone saw). Upon breaking the huddle to leave, a guy stepped into it and slipped - nearly fell, but held himself up doing a 3/4 splits.

I have puked quite a bit. Running cross country and conditioning for high school, I would usually know it was a good day of practice if at least one of my teammates barfed.

LOL! Tha'ts hilarious.

Oh yeah, in CC it got bad. I think at the semi-state and state level, we were all puking. Especially b/c it's during the warmest part of the year. Not to mention, I used to get so nervous before races that I puked before every race I ever ran. Even during the winter, running road 5ks or anything like that, I always purged before every race.

I remember my freshman year of college when we had soccer three-a-days. I was working my ass off trying to get some actual playing time and I think I puked more in those two weeks than every before in my life from being sick.

I think everybody involved in sports during high school or just for recreation has some good puke stories.

If you don't puke, it means you could have tried harder. Pain is just the sensation of failure leaving the body. etc.

I puked the first day of hard training in wrestling class at UCLA back in '59. Can't recall every puking from exertion otherwise.

On the same vein, what about peeing blood from exertion? That used to happen to me occasionally was I was doing a lot of running 30-some years ago.

Wierdly enough, I had to stop after 30 minutes of training yesterday because I would have puked. I guess I can't eat fried chicken 30 minutes before kickboxing like I used to.
