Is 1.85'' of extra toe room too much even on the Crockett and Jones 337 last?

Found this at a thrift store yesterday. It's by Donald Brooks ( I have no idea who he is )

Does it seem to fit me or should I return it? It was only $6

I usually bought my suits and jackets RTW, as I very rarely wore them, not on an on an everyday basis. However, times change and I am now looking to purchase my first bespoke suit/jacket.
I live in London. Can anyone recommend a moderately priced good tailor for a first time customer like myself.
Help much appreciated.

This would would considered to have "waist suppression", right? When this this "trim" style come into vogue? (vs. boxy suits) Thanks for the help... In fact, its a good contrast to the suit pictured 2 posts above, correct? It seems way to baggy on Little Bear.

Thoughts on longwings vs. regular wingtip/full-brouge ?
Pros/cons? Personal pref? Does one make your foot look longer?

WOAH what kind of a tie is this? Sorry the picture is small

The collar is unlike any I have seen. It is quite large and at the top there is a **** about 3/4 of an inch long that covers the knot. Its from the movie Swordfish.

Is there a specific name for this type of collar? Or is it just a horrible fit

I've bought a couple of suits from Norton & Townsend and have been impressed with what they've come up with. First one was made in 1996 and still fits (

) and is very wearable. I think the purists might call their work MTM rather than "Bespoke" but pretty good IMO. Don't have any experience with other tailors so might get can't say how N&T match up against others. In fact if anyone could shed some light on N&T v others work I'd be interested.

Does anyone know if Church's accept shoes for factory repair / reconditioning if they have been resoled elsewhere?

Do C&J offer the same factory reconditioning service that Church's do (ie drop off at a local retailer and they'll organise to send back to factory)?

Yes, the waist is suppressed on the jacket. The trousers look a little puffy though. Suppressed waists on the jacket are, as far as I know, the traditional way jackets were made. I believe in the 50's and 60's, there was a move to a less suppressed waist that eventually led to the now standard boxy design. I make this assertion based on the various images I've seen from this time-period.

Thanks smudge.
I actually looked at that one. The shop is within walking distance for me. There was another, Carter bespoke, which I found on the web, that looks promising. If anyone has any experience of them I would like to know.
Thanks again smudge. As both your suits still fit, I take it you've been single since 1996
