I order Shirley Temples at the bar all the time...one thing i'll do every now and then if i'm going for a mid-day drink by myself is grab a cigar, order a shirley temple and puff on watching the world go by...love doing this at outdoor bars on a sunny day.

It's already been mentioned, but tonic water with lime is a go-to for me. I will have to try the club soda with lime and a dash of bitters - sounds interesting.

I do sometimes go in for non-alcoholic beer. A bar I frequent has a pretty good selection of them, including some German ones with funky names in distinctive-looking bottles, so it looks like I'm into some kind of high-end Deutschebrau and nobody bothers me about it.

Please turn in your Man Card at the nearest Harley Davidson dealership.

I don't really get the appeal of "non alcoholic" beer...beer doesn't taste good to begin with, to get me to drink bottles of this stuff without getting wasted? I'll pass.

Water, or maybe chocolate milk (yeah, it's fresh ...

I'd go for water, so there's no pretense that you're ordering a virgin anything in the hopes of flying under the radar.

I've struggled with this one as well. Some nights, I feel like going out but I just don't feel like drinking. I'll usually get a tonic and lime or sometimes tomato juice.

Well the premeditated Soda on the rocks saved me last night. Was pulled over at 3am on my way home with some friends and breath tested without problem..... "have a goodnight officer".
