Stitchy - forgot to ask how old those shooz are - the lack of creasing is impressive.
Mac - Looking swell - thanks for the catalog showing us where to buy the sox.
Romain - I really like the shape on the Septieme Larguers
Back in the office for a few.
Lovely bright weather - spring like - so I wore these.

Shooz - Septieme Larguer
Sox - Pantherella (Are they too bright?)
Jeans - Marc Jacobs sueded denim.

What is your UK size and your US size?

Mr. Monty,

I am a slightly narrow US 8.25. So for RTW US shoes I wear either an 8 or 8.5D depending on the fit.

I generally wear a 7 UK although size down to 6.5 fairly often in C&J, Lobb and Santoni.

European sizing I generally run 40.5

On these Septiemes I did a 7 UK and they are good for me.

Thanks! I like them too, they're very different from my other shoes.
Are you still happy with yours? They look like they're brand new :slayer:

Ps: never heard about sueded denim, what is it? It is an euphemism to say that it looks warm and comfortable!

Romain,

So far so good on the shoes! The leather is a bit stiff in a strange way but not creasing badly at all - the photos are from wearing number 3. Actually they are almost 'rolling'. I wonder if this is a function of the way they impregnate the patina into the leather with heated waxes? In any case I'm happy with them so far!

Sueded denim is denim that has somehow been 'brushed' or finished so that the surface is nappy like flannel/suede. I really love those jeans. My only complaint is that they used REAL silk to make the pocket interiors and they keep opening up at the seams. If I put anything in my pockets it ends up on the floor. :embar:

It sounds very nice! (except for the pockets...)

Regarding the shoes, indeed it may be due to the treatment of the leather. Was it a neutral leather "painted" after the shoes were done, or a green tanned leather? I believe they sell both, especially the blue and green ones.

Nuetral leather patinated to order. They use a combination of dye, stick waxes buffed in, and regular polish as best I can tell.
