Saks is offering an addiotnal 50% off ticket prices as of this Thursday. I went over and they are allowing presale shopping.

I picked up an Oxxford Mason model suit for 75% off as as well as a group of Kiton and Borrelli shirts and Brioni, Bizzocchi ties all at 65% off.

There were also a few new Carmina models that were not there last week including an alligator slip-on and a tan suede derby with dainite sole that, IIRC, would be $98 after the 50% discount.

Thanks for the alert. $98 for a Carmina alligator slip-on, are you sure?

Is this the consolidated sale? AFAIK, the flagship doesn't carry Oxxford and Kiton, O and K don't usually come into play until the store gets shipment from other locations for the sale.

Nah. That was for the derby. the alligator slip-on is $350ish IIRC. The flagship has picked up both Kiton and Oxxford and almost all of the Oxxford is on sale. They have Kiton shoes, too (not on sale, though)!

I saw those Kiton shoes at the flagship, and at $2800, they're approaching bespoke prices. it's frightening.

Yup. Massimo must be laughing all the way to the banco. How many Kiton shoes did you buy, portnoy?

I'd run over to the Saks Detroit store, but unless you want Prada, Gucci or Boss, they really aren't the place for you. Sad, used to be a great store (locally).

Hmm intriguing, even though the SF Saks is pretty terrible for mens shoes.

The Neiman Marcus store (also in Troy) has a pair of 10.5E (11.5D) captoe brown Lobbs. The sale price is appx. $600. Also on sale in selected colors in the Lopez (loafer) @appx $600.
The lady SA is willing to search the system for other Lobbs on sale. I was in the store last Sat.

Has anyone checked out the stash at the Chicago location (Michigan Ave)?
