Look at Japanese brands or at least Japanese market stuff - they put side zips on everything here since it makes taking your boots off easier, I'm guessing sidezips will never go away now. Lad Musician probably has/had what you want.

also I came close to buying either a navy blue or black boiled wool blazer last night. fit was perfect but I couldn't decide and I got neither :embar:

It was just a standard 3 roll 2 though; I think I'd rather something like that one.

is a harnden boiled wool, new, but not harnden-esque enough (read: sac jacket) for what i want, though is mandarin collar very nice...but it would be too small with a sweater underneath !

Nope, full retail at Fred Segal. Not even in yet but they say they'll have it in stock within the next couple of days.
