12 miles on a treadmill tonight - the treadmill is dreadful. Thankfully the Lakers and Hornets were an excellent distraction.

I agree that the treadmill is tough for long runs. 12 miles is impressive. I usually do interval running only on treadmills.

1.4 mi.. not too impressive to say the least but first outdoor run of the season. Hopefully will get up to 3-4 daily in a few weeks.

I really like treadmills for interval work, too. That said, I ran 7 miles yesterday on the treadmill. The ipod helps alot.

Congrats, Alan.

Today - a long run, the first back from a week-long cold - 8 miles. Tonight my damn foot hurts. Hope it passes soon.

Ran 5k at the gym today. Been doing it 2-3x a week now for a couple of months. I think 5k is about my plateau. I just don't have the patience to run longer distances. And I think I have metatarsalgia ever since I injured my foot a couple of years ago running on a badly designed treadmill.

Ugh, I just can't do that. I top out at 5 mi on the treadmill. But then, it takes me 45-50 minutes to do 5.

I do like that the treadmill doesn't lie or let me cheat. I never say "oh I'll just slow it down for 30 secs" on the treadmill.

Here I thought my knee was all better. Last time running with a brace withheld me from feeling any pain at all in my knee. But yesterday, after about 3 miles the pain in my right knee was back.. :S

Also, I felt my right calf muscle was very stiff, so I'm gonna stretch my calfes a lot this week and see if that helps..
