My friend, who has his ear to the ground and is friends with a lot of beat reporters, related it to me. He hates Arenas, so he related this bit with some scorn.

I would feel so bad for the Clips if that happened. They'd essentially be playing a series with all 7 games on the road.

The bench is pretty weak but could be better if tim thomas decides to play better (too bad it's not a contract year), and shaun livingston is close to as talented and physically gifted as before.
I kind of like Thorton, but that line-up you listed, actually sounds pretty decent on paper, it'll be interesting to see how it pans out,

I dunno, with the Clipper's luck, it wouldn't surprise me if both Baron and Brand got reinjured at some point.

Wow--remember the days when Donald Sterling would make his players pay for their own socks? Now he has three $10 million players on his roster!

I think it was a good trade. The Raps had to do something to protect/support CB4 in the paint. Time will tell.

I like the possbilities of Josh Smith meeting with Philly, the guy has pretty good all around game for a big guy, ie scoring, rebounding, defense.

It'd be nice to pair him with Iggy.
