This seems a wise plan.

I wonder why these ties got a lot more support on AAAC.

In my grad school's career development programs we were consistently told not to wear club-style ties to interviews. I would assume that this advice should also carry over into early employment. Once you've got your bearings at your office, feel free to wear any of the above ties if you're comfortable with them.

IMO, the ties are fine as a Friday tie. However, I have never liked them and thus do not wear them.

Generally, in traditional business environments, for low-level employees such ties are not a good idea. But every workplace is different.

Not really. Nobody will care as long as you don't wear something really ridiculous. Those all look fine.

Yeah, it is a bit corny, but if you serious about money or stocks then wear it. I think that if you are a boss or a senior employee then you can get away with it. If it was up to me then I would wear it, at least for a day

While i love them..... I would avoid them except for the events at the country club til you got the offer for post-school employment.

I'm going to buck the trend here.

Emblematic ties are appropriate only if they are part of a school uniform or if you are a sporting member in formal team dress.

Outside of these environments I think emblematic ties are positively stuffy and simply repulsive. Sorry, it's just my opinion but I felt it had to be said.
