Does anyone know where I can find some nice, brown chukka boots?  I need some to wear out with mainly with jeans. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yep-- I'd go with something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....47&rd=1 I think the seller has more than one size in stock. Myself, I'm trying to wear out my allen edmonds dundee boots, to make way for a pair like those.

I have a  pair of C&J Chiltern in snuff suede that I bought from Plal for $200-something. They are lovely. I found a matching suede John Varvatos belt on Bluefly as well.
I have the same shoe purchased from the same place. In fact I'm wearing them as I type. Another strong recommendation.

Bluefly has cordovan Polos that are really nice.

I'll second the nomination for the cordovan Polo boots (also made by C&J). They're a perfect boot for Fall and I've been getting good use out of mine.

What kind of sole do those cordovan Polo boots (by C&J - the McCallum) come with? It looks like it might be a dainite sole, but the pictures seem to only show the top and side view, and I'm guessing based on what look to be the "spikes" on the sole (I always think of those dainite sole nubs as cleats or spikes similar to those on a soccer shoe).

I really love my pair of John Varvatos chukka boots. They are a brown pebble grain with 3 eyelets and leather soled. I looked for a picture of them as I bought them at Saks, and have seen them on ebay and bluefly. Cost, 125 on sale about 1.5 years ago. Since then, they have developed a nice patina and I actually just wore them out tonight with dark blue jeans. Also are great with corduroy jeans.

I would buy them again, but the RM Williams boots are always in the back of my mind.

How about these from Vass?

Of course, those might be a bit dressy for jeans. This one from Alden of Carmel might be more appropriate.

Alden's regular chukka is on the Barrie last, which is clunky and blob-like. This one is on the Plaza, which I think makes for a better shoe.

Not a Chukka but I'm very fond of my Blundstone 500 boots. They wear like iron and they are great with jeans.

The Varvatos chukka boots are the ones I really want, but I haven't been able to find them anywhere.
