What I found in my April subscription to GQ

Besides a very nice cover picture of Adriana Lima, there was a Lexus "h" pocket square inside for me enclosed in an advertisement for Lexus Hybrids. The pocket square has a white background with what resembles blue "fingerprint" etching throughout with an "h" in the middle. It looks nice paired with my RL cashmere blue blazer.

I'm sorry, I sort of zoned out after "Adriana Lima". Now what's this about a fuel-efficient handkerchief?

Different strokes for different folks.

I do not find this girl attractive at all. She's tall and lean like a human cloth hanger/display should be, but other than that, big yawn.

I did not get a pocketsquare in my magazine.

Also, the April issue of GQ is particulary atrocious. The only thing I even read is O'Brien's columns.

My subscription of Men's Ex has started coming, so everything else is just pure trash.

This is very personal. So you are preferring the short big ones?

You must be smoking crack.

This Lima girl, to me, is a girl. The same look (big eye, pouty lip) that fascinates the Japanese man and his obsession with the "school-aged" girl look.

Give me a WOMAN

Well she is 26. Big eyes and pouty lips correlate pretty well with how most people rate attractiveness (all things being equal) in the western world, and they are overwhelmingly common in models and actresses and other people who are famous for being good-looking. Monica Belluci has proportionally large eyes and very pouty lips, which is part of what keeps her from looking her age. It signifies youth (the proportionally big eyes are the same reason we find puppies and other young infants cute), which signifies that they'll be able to bear children reasonably well. Or at least that's what I remember from my developmental psych class. And it's not like she's a stick, she's got more curves than most models. I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just pointing out that the things you noted that you don't like about here puts you in the vast minority, both in terms of how attractive you find her and how those particular features influence how attractive you find women in general, at least by western (and apparently Japanese) standards of beauty. /Thread jack
