Trench coat needed

A Trenchcoat is an article of clothing that should last you for a long time. If I were to only have one trenchcoat, I'll save more money and get the best you can afford. Usually, low priced trenchcoat will probably last you for more than 2 or 3 seasons. Otherwise, try H&M, I think the quality is o.k. for the price.
I bought a coat from Bennetton for about $99 last year. Not a trench coat - basically a single breasted cotton coat in tan. And not Water proof. But it definately get's the job done in spring and fall and even not too hot summer days.
