Eternal 811 vs. Iron Heart 634S - Page 2

Hinoya does. Most of the japanese stores that have websites also have store fronts, take a look at their sites

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I wanted to know how does the color of denim compare on these two? It is hard to tell from pictures that I've seen. I have 5eps so I was looking for a different color tone, something more bright blue. I read that eternals have a sorta purple hue? KMWs have a nice blue tone but I don't think the rise fits me. Interested to see what others think. Thanks!

Does anyone have any experience with how Eternal 811s fit relative to say, APC Rescues? I compared the actual measurements from my 33 Rescues to the size 34 and 36 Eternal 811 numbers posted on BiG's website and they are pretty similar with the exception of the waist, which has stretched in my APCs.

I would like to achieve a 36" waist... will the 34 Eternals stretch at all or should I size up to the 36? Thanks!

I have both of these (811 in one-wash) and though I love the denim on the 811s, they wound up fitting strangely on me because the initial waist size was so much smaller than what it stretched to. I am a 32 in standard j.crew pants, but I had to get a 33 in the Eternals because they were so tight. Even then, I had to suck it in just to button the fly to the top. The waist is now 33" (the tagged size) and the oveall fit is too big for me. My 634S were tagged 32 and have stretched to 32.5".

You can see the fits here.

The 811's are smaller through the knee and hem than rescues but have an apparent longer rise and more hipflare you'd want a 35 or 36 in the eternal. i'm not hugely found of my 811's. they may look slim in pics but the seat is huge and the pockets kind of magnify this.

The key difference between the 811 and the APC new standards is that the 811 is a true straight leg while the APC is slightly tapered below the knee (811 also has a higher rise front and back). I prefer the slight tapering because it gives the effect of a true straight leg and some on this board feel this gives a better look than a genuine straight leg that can give the effect of a slight boot cut. But I don't like the low rise on the APC.

The 811 is slim in the thigh, it just continues on straight. I've got the 34 and the 36 waist, and when I can fit into them the 34 is the better because of the narrower leg. But you have to wait a while for some stretching.
Agree with everyone above, I find the 811 an odd fit in the top block. The denim is superb, the fades are wonderful. But I find them too hot for the Melbourne summer. I note Kiya's point. If you are worried about warmth, I'd be more concerned about the 811 than the IH.

i think the 811 are based on the 66 cut and ironhearts are based on the 50s cut... correct me if i'm wrong

I love the denim on the 811, but the fit is awkward. I sized down 2 to try to eliminate the hip flare, but its still there. Never tried on the IH634.

I love the Eternals, but am just wondering how they fit compared to my beloved NS, which I love there fit, but I know the denim could be better.

Looking back, I don't know how I ever wore the 811. It really was an awkward fit. The top block is simply huge, especially in comparison to the somewhat slim thighs. And I'm not an ass-less dude, so I'm not sure who exactly would fit well in the 811 cut.

Just wondering, I"m looking at the 634s to wear in the winter (southern hemisphere). Is there a jean you would recommend thats not a slack weave or just warmer in general with the same cut?

Thanks

Does anyone have good fade pictures of their 811s? Do these shrink a lot in the length with the first wash.
