The gel in their hair would burn for days should it ever encounter a flame. i don't think they're blowing kisses...it's some sort of 'blower's cramp'.

From the Times online

http://technology.timesonline.co.uk/...cle3389328.ece

What makes a young man paint himself orange, put on a skin-tight T-shirt and pose like a supermodel? It's a popular look from New York to Hungary...

Freak show When a popular sports blog, barstoolsports.com, published a series of pictures of men in clubs with absurd fake tans, it was a window on a bizarre and unexpected underworld.

Who are these people? The original blog post said the photos were taken in New Jersey clubs, but New Jersey residents quickly claimed the pictures were shot in Long Island. The truth was much stranger. Several of the shots were from a Hungarian website, captured in clubs in Vienna. The spiritual leaders of this cult are surely the three grandsons of the late Mafia boss John Gotti, with their terrifying orange skin, gel-encrusted hair, and tight shirts.

What should we call them? In Vienna they're called krocha, in New Jersey they're called guidos, and in Britain they're chavs, although ours aren't so keen on spray tan.

To be honest, I do have a collection of ironic tee's left that I still wear to the gym or the beach until I wear them through... but at least mine are somewhat clever. I would not wear something that said "Fu*k me I'm a Playboy." I could see that working against me.

Please take this as kindly as possible, the tucker-max worship is really played out. The RMMB is the place for that kind of thing, SF is just not the venue for it.

Well, first of all, this wasn't forced on the venue. It started organically here: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=57581 a few days ago. That thread wasn't the right venue to continue, we were getting off topic, so I thought I'd give it it's own. I, like a few others, were bored on a Friday afternoon at work I guess. Seems like folks were enjoying it, sorry you didn't. Second, I credited both Tucker Max and the other websites where the pictures came from both here, and in the other thread. Third, if SF isn't a good forum for this, than why did they have a thread on it back in 2005, with some pictures... a whole two years before RMMB had a thread on it? See it here: http://styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=42802 Had I known about that one before I started this second thread, I would have just added to it (yes, I did search for "Guido" before I started the thread). BTW, if you've enjoyed this thread up until now, you should definitely check out the other thread, there is stuff there that is not on this one. Fourth, TM was cool about 5-6 years ago when I was in college. You're right, it's run its course... but I still wanted a douchbaggie avatar, and that picture fit the bill. Should I have Milkshake from ATHF instead? Maybe you could provide something, I don't know, constructive?

I thought this thread was quite funny and good to read...dunno why some have a bug up their ass about it...if they don't like it, dont read it

We have these here. I don't understand the kiss face... so they want to make out with people who hate them? I hate them... do they wanna make out with me? I don't get it. And to whoever said it, these guys (or at least the ones here) don't get nearly as many girls as they act like they do. And you wouldn't want the girls they do get. You may think you do, but you'd be wrong.

...I know that's why SoCal and I are here. Anyway, I disagree about most members here dressing for the ladies. For the most part, women have just as bad taste as most men, if not worse. I can almost guarantee that fully canvassed construction, working button cuffs, or being able successfully to define the word "Cordwainer" won't get you into the sack any faster. Aside from iammatt's wife, who seems to have superlative taste, I'd say the vast majority of us dress either for ourselves or, yes, for other men (in a professional/business setting, for clients, etc.) Finally, as for the guido, it's hilarious to look at, but they're really not any more offensive than the vast majority of Amjacks, rednecks, jocks, or Emo-kids that run around looking like complete idiots. The only difference with these is that they seem to enjoy documenting every moment of their stupidity for all the world to see. The pursed-lips are hilarious, though, and the orange perma-tan has quite a precedent (look at all of those Sartorialist pics of the aging Milanese fashionistas). SoCal, I'm calling you out on your Guido-love... it's just because all that tanning means that they're basically perpetually lubed up.

Exactly. More than a few times I've looked in the mirror and asked myself about my outfit, "WWRJCD?" : What would the RJCat Do?
