Vass shoes (two questions)

Regarding Vass shoes I have two questions: 1. I did a search of Vass shoes and read the posts related to Vass. My question is as follows: Could those of you who have pictures of Vass shoes that have been worn a bit post those pictures? I have been thinking of purchasing a pair and would like to see how they look once worn (I tend to like the look of a shoe more when it's been worn a bit then brand new). 2. The www.vass-shoes.com lists Fairfield Clothiers and Louis Boston as two stores that carry Vass shoes. I'm a size 8 US and Fairfield sizes on Vass starts at size 9. I also contacted Louis and a since they carry a couple of shell cordovan models, they are out of my price range. My question: Is anyone aware of other stores out there that carry Vass?

In Washington, D.C., a shoe store called "Sky Valet" on Wisconsin Avenue (just above Georgetown) carries the full line of Vass -- as well as Weston, Alden and Yanko. They have about 12-15 different Vass models on display and they have some sizes available for purchase, but otherwise they are all available for order from the factory.

By the way, Sky Valet's Weston and Alden selection is very impressive.

The proprietor of Sky Valet is also reputed to be a top notch cobbler.

Kabert,

FYI, I ordered a pair of Vass from Sky Valet some months ago; they are due to arrive in May. I'll let you know how the transaction works out. I really wonder whether they'll fit.

JohnMS,

There are no other stores carrying Vass at the moment. Hopefully that will change. We will keep you updated.

It is my understanding that Sky Valet does not actually stock any shoes - they are running a special-order program. In any event, if they only have 12-15 samples, that is hardly the full line. The possible combinations of last, model and leather would run into the thousands...
