Even I like it very much. I also saw a Zegna Trofeo cashmere (95% wool & 5% cashmere ) cloth which had a much better feel than the Gamekeeper Tweed but the Zegna was 3 times more expensive that the H & S Gamekeeper.

To be fair, the reasons are pretty obvious, no?

It does get pretty cold in Delhi in December and January. The weather is quite similar to Madrid in the sense that it is very hot 9 months and 3 months it is quite cold. Or maybe I just feel too cold

aj_del, please note that this is not a "For Sale" thread, so I don't think the "thread ********" rule applies ....

I understand that. I merely requested him here and through PM to remove his comments and he kindly obliged.

Didnt want to start another thread for this but wanted to say that I got excellent service from Holland & Sherry.

As I mentioned above I saw some samples of Gamekeeper Tweed at my tailor but there some more pictures at the H & S website. So I wrote to H & S asking for pictures of all the cloths in that range. I told them I do not require samples but just the pictures so that I ask my tailor to arrange the sample of the particular cloth I like from the pictures.

They replied that they dont have a picture catalog but would arrange samples. They then forwarded my e-mail to the Indian distributor. The Indian distributor contacted me and gave a list of shops where a complete set of the samples could be seen in Delhi.

But today (around 3 days after my e-mail correspondence) I received an express parcel from H & S UK with all the samples of the Gamekeeper Tweed. I was quite surprised that they made the effort to send the samples. I though once they had referred me to the Indian distributor the issue would be closed from the H&S's point of view.

So just wanted to share my very pleasant experience with H & S.

I will post pictures of all the samples in a day or 2 for the benefit of other members who might be interested.

Ed - did you ever get this Gun Club made up? I'm considering having it made up with slightly angled hacking pockets and a ticket pocket as the colors seem like they'd work very well with my existing wardrobe. I'm curious to see some photos of it in action before committing.

So this outfit has been discussed in the Sartorialist thread. Anyone know what cloth that coat could be or recommend a similar one? Looks like a grey tweed with large herringbone pattern

No shortage of Harris tweeds that look pretty much exactly like that.
