Navy and black glen plaid suit and navy tie for my sister in law's wedding next week... I have a pale blue shirt waiting, but i really like the check- does it look ok?

Well, the suit and shirt are not traditional choices for a wedding. Does that matter? The suit could use a few alterations...or are you only asking about the shirt? I don't think its an optimal pairing, but it could be worse, as at least the checks are of different dimensions. A solid shirt would create a much better presentation.
