Italien tailors - planning a trip - but where to visit?

So I'm planing a trip to Italy, and try something else than my Polish tailor. But where to go ? Rome / Napoli ? Milano ?

Any tailors you guys would recommend ? And have to be honest - I do have some price limitation.  My price range for a suit is somewhere between 1000 - 2000 €. Right now my Polish suits are "only" 1000 € which I appreciate. Might be wrong - but thinking that there must be a lot of small local tailors with lower prices - than say - liverano & liverano.

Fabric stores where vintage cloth can be found, would also be highly appreciated.

In your price range, Sartoria Vergallo in Varese comes to mind: http://www.sartoriavergallo.it/en/

I think their suits start at 1800€.

Thanks - I'll check them out online. Do you know the tailor from first hand experience or ?

No, sorry, I haven't used their services. You can find reports on certain style blogs, though.

There are lots of small tailors around indeed, e.g. in Naples - many of them charge 3-figure Euro-amounts for suits.
However you most probably will not find them on the internet - you would need somebody who would introduce you to them... which is not an easy task from the distance.
Maybe somebody from the forum will be so kind...
Good luck!

Why change - is there something wrong with your existing tailor?

I'm new to the bespoke world, and my experience is very limited. So I guess trying a couple of different tailors wouldn't hurt - and my thinking is, that if more experienced people can lead me in the right direction it would be a good starting point.

Thanks for the advice - hopefully someone will join the thread, willing to help. And you're probably right regarding the small tailors with no webpages ! I actually have another thread, where I'm trying to collect as many tailor world wide as possible, exactly for the same reason.  Its really hard to find all the tailor online. Sometimes, even those with webpages.

Still no one willing to pitch in with regards to tailors? This forum must be filled with people who can recommend their tailor ?
