I guess I need to be more blunt what brand of shirts and pant can I expect to look for with my budget I shop mostly at Kohl's because of the discount but it is hard to find stuff that fits me the way I should sleeves are usually to long and pant are no different sorry I didn't open my eyes well enough to see the other two names under the links thanks for your help
If your budget goes to 85$ Luxire shirts are in the mid-upper range of that budget. They're an affiliate member of SF and have some great custom shirts. You can also find pants from Luxire in that budget, but IMO their shirts are better bang for your buck than their pants.

This is the SF affiliate thread for Luxire:

Here is a spreadsheet to custom collars created by different members:

Cousin's wedding coming up in a few weeks ... subtropical climate, afternoon setting ...

1. white spread or white cutaway shirt?
2. simple white pocket square, or any pocket square ideas ...?
3. BTW, in a country not really bound by your U.K, Murican traditions ... just wanna look good :satisfied:

Also have this tie ...

Dress for the job you want not for the job you have. Throw on an odd jacket and a tie.

I like the tie you have...or no tie with a cotton/linen shirt. Shoes are fine, but some suede (loafers) would be nice...can't believe I'm saying that because I'm not a big loafer fan. Either way, I think you have a good plan and will look right for the occasion.

Got these Brandos in April. Working in a business casual environment, only had the opportunity to wear them 3-4 times. As shown in the picture below, the lining on the inside started to peel right away. Not a huge issue. But an issue nonetheless.

I received an email from Paul Evans asking for a review, which I gave--I gave a mixed review. Said happy with the look of shoes, but disappointed in the peeling. My review was not posted. Tried submitting it twice.

A few weeks later, I emailed Paul Evans about it, very politely asking whether glue could fix the issue, and asking why review wasn't posted. Response was that this occasionally occurs when excess moisture enters, and that "luckily" it's not an issue since no one can see it and they are still wearable. I then responded back asking how that can not be an issue--I've only worn 3-4 times with socks in spring and am worried that they will peel further. Response was "Are you unable to wear your shoes? Re the review, we post select reviews."

While not too rude, the Paul Evans response certainly is not what I'd expect from a business--regardless whether my one criticism of the shoe is invalid.

So, just for my own benefit, is this normal peeling after only 3-4 wears (see photo)? Sorry for the length.

Welcome to the forum, e. I've had some shoes from good makers do that, but they really shouldn't. That said, it's not that big of a deal as long as it doesn't do it anymore than that. The response from PE was really lame...I wouldn't be happy with that.

Thanks. Long time lurker, first time poster.

Yeah--my concern was that the peeling happened so quickly that it would continue to peel much more with more wear. Didn't know whether I should use an adhesive to address it now.

One of the Paul Evans's co-founders just emailed me back (Ben Early), and his response was more appropriate. As you can tell, however, their previous responses did tick me off enough to pose the question and provide the history. But now that I've broken the ice with my first post, I'll be sure to soon post again re other topics (shorter posts next time).

Mine didn't get worse and I didn't touch it....can't feel it at all when worn. You can always get others opinions here http://www.styleforum.net/t/228153/the-official-shoe-care-thread-tutorials-photos-etc. Post length was fine man, no worries.

Hey guys, any opinions on alterations I should have done to this chambray shirt to get a fit similar to something like these

In my opinion it just needs to be shortened and the sleeves taken in a tad bit, and maybe the waist but I'm not too sure.

Welcome to the forum, man. I don't want to steer you wrong....I prefer to leave those recommendations to the experts. Try asking here http://www.styleforum.net/t/265924/the-tailors-thread-fit-feedback-and-alteration-suggestions

Hello team - any experience/tips with tailored formal-wear in Hong Kong? I imagine Tux/Morning Suit slightly different than for business suits, want to be in good hands.

I am 6ft (183cm) and 90kg (200lbs) - upper side of medium build - should I go for rack with alterations or straight for tailor? What (if any) brands should I consider for my size and needs?

TUX: thinking midnight blue, shawl collar, one button single breast.
Morning Suit: not 100% sure on details but will stick pretty close to traditional.
Budget under HKD10k (USD1,300) for each suit.

Wedding is in the mountains so will need a reasonably heavy wool. I live local and not pressed for time, wedding is March next year (European winter).

My groomsman and some guests may end up buying either/both as well so I estimate we will be ordering between 5 and 10 if we can find a tailor who can do a decent job with both.

Thanks in advance.

This thread is great! I also have a question as well.

To give a background, I like nice things, but also like a good deal. I mean who doesn't right? So I have been poking around the forums to learn more. I realized there are tons of threads that refer to stores, vendors, and affiliates that are highly regarded on this forum.

One of the stores I stumbled upon is shopthefinest. I seem like high end stuff for a good price, however, I read the items are not always the newest season and such. So my question is, can you recommend some stores just like shopthefinest that I could shop at?

Thanks a billion!!!

PS. I have tried to use the search function, but it is quite overwhelming!
