Nintendo DS

Does anyone else carry one around with them when they are bored or commuting? I usually try to squeeze some fun on the train since i don't have a MP3 player or anything. If so, what are your favourite games? I just ordered the R4DS card, which is basically a modchip for the DS that allows you to download games onto a flash memory card so you end up paying $50 for 'unlimited' games.

Feel free to discuss what games you're playing, or what you are looking forward to. I'm sure theres a niche for this on this board as it is heavily casual-gamer aimed.

I only play mine at home or if i'm on some kind of road trip. Now that i have a R4 kit for it, i just download my DS games. I have pokemon, Rune Factory and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Zelda uses all the DS functions brilliantly and is quite enjoyable to play. Rune Factory is great if you have the patience and enjoyed Harvest Moon in the past but want a bit more action. FFIV full 3d and story remake should come out in the US by next xmas, as well as DQIX. Those 2 games alone are enough reason to keep the DS for me.

I used to play Oendan sometimes during commuting, or while taking short breaks from studying at a café or some similar place. It's perfect for short sessions. It's still my favourite game for the DS, together with the excellent Zelda.

I've had a DS for week now and am enjoying Brain Age 2 and Mario Kart. Looking to get Zelda in the near future.

Does anyone have the browser and can comment on how well it works?

I'm thinking of picking one up and trying the new Grand Theft Auto. Can anyone recommend me some other titles worth checking out?

All of the stuff mentioned above, along with New Super Mario and Mario Kart are good starts. It depends on your taste, really--there's a lot of puzzle and RPG games worth playing.

I'm gonna pick up Kirby Super Star. I had it a long time ago for Super Nintendo but got mad because my files automatically erased themselves.

New Super Mario Bros is fun. I like it a lot since it's similar to the classic Mario games. Brain Age makes brain exercises fun.

Ill visit your town in animal crossing! My town has not seen the light of day in awhile. I imagine it is overrun with lowlifes and weeds.

Aside from the standard Mario suite of awesome games (New Mario World, Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart, Partners in Time, etc. etc.), my absolute favourite games for the DS:

(And it's Japanese predecessor, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan; and it's Japanese sequel, Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2; SO FUN.)
