I think maybe you should try to get a job with A&F , you seem to be right up in their ally, and that's a compliment. One step at a time, maybe they will they will let you model in thier catalog, then maybe that will lead to something.

I assume you're talking about being an ad model as opposed to runway. Runway models are just ex-POWs that haven't begun refeeding yet.

Actually that depends on what designer, but yea, this guy couldn't model for Dior or CDG.

The guy has a nice body. He could work the door at A&F...do some regional in store CK underwear type things and also be on one of those "Straight Guys Jack Off/Take It Up The Ass for Cash" type websites.

Why anyone would want to be a model I know not (well...self-esteem issues). You career has a very limited lifespan and it is in no way glam like on America's Next Top Model.

Not so bad in Tokyo (looku sexyy, velly nissu!!) and some parts of Europe if you use it to work into fashion next...but yeah aside from the top 0.5% earners it is pretty bad.

That guy just reaffirmed my faith into heterosexuality that was seriously challenged by the way girls looked last time I went out.

+1

It looks best in the one where it's cropped short (almost shaved). Don't do anything with it and you'll have a soccer player type of look. Definitely avoid the guido-type haricuts in some of your other photos. And lose the earring.

FWIW, I know several people that have done modelling, and none of them particularly liked it, even to the point where one girl made 10k in a day while she was still young and walked away from it becuase she didn't like the lifestyle and cut-throat nature of everyone around her.

I guess if you want the blunt truth, I now know where to find it. Not a problem however, the career never appealed to me until now so I've been in the same shoes. I currently fly planes and am aspiring for commercial flight, but I need some fast cash and I'd like to see what they could do to my hair as well. Not everyone was blessed with a gift to style their hair. I'd like to find a good stylist in NorCal to look for ideas, anybody know where to start?

The tools who work in Abercrombie get about 5 hours a week, and make 7.50/hr. I'd be flattered if they hired me but I couldn't take the hours.

I'll try a shorter style this time around, it's easier to manage.

Violinist, Suitstyle, thanks for the standup advice. Much appreciated.

You guys seem to have a taste for hair, any pictorial suggestions?

Modeling is a terrible way to make money. Most models don't make very much, and male models, even less. You get to stand for hours in line during open calls, and you never know exactly what it is a producer or designer is looking for, or, if you have it, whether you will get it. Hours are actually pretty long, and pay is not generally that great. I've been told it is fun for a bit, but would not recommend it for a career.

To be honest, I'm more impressed with how you handled being publicly mocked for posting vain, shirtless, and semi-homoerotic photos of yourself on a mens clothing website.

I'm glad you actually got some decent advice.

Personally, I could care less about male models. Everything I know about male modeling I learned from watching Zoolander. If that is in anyway accurate, you are WAY too smart to be a male model. Go fly airplanes.

****, I should quit what I'm doing to fly airplanes. Consider that most male models would kill to be able to fly a plane.

Plus, the market for horribly disfigured S&M models sort of collapsed in the mid nineties. You'd be out of work already.
