Based on the kind response from everyone else I can tell this is a place I want to hang out. Thank you. I have been thrifting for almost 5 years and have flipped thousand of dollars of stuff on eBay so I earned my stripes. I NEVER buy RL but if anyone on here sees a $375 price tag on something and can buy it for $4.99 you buy it. I have learned now to continue staying away form RL excuse me for wanting to learn about a brand I don't buy. Now lets return to seeing peoples sweet thrifts instead of discussing my RL mishap.

I definitely would have kopped that LRL suit as well, to resell on eBay. When I first darkened this forum with my presence I was bragging about crappy JAB orphans and a fake PRL. Now, I rarely buy JAB unless it's 100% cashmere or a NWT suit/SC, also for flipping. Same with RL - bit of a learning curve to it.

I still grab Sig Gold if it's a suit, navy blazer with gold buttons, or made by Zegna. They sit sometimes but they eventually go out the door. Makes nice fodder since they're plentiful.

Well, don't learn your lesson too well (I hesitate to call it a 'lesson' -- I agree with KoalaT that is a fun place, a safe place! People should relax).

Polo is actually the brand I'm most excited about right now. Since PLaydice started posted, I've taken a harder look and already snapped up several really cool vintage tees (some of them even worth something).

Also, who said we had to stress monetary value? That's boring, IMO. Just post what you love to find; someone else will love it too.

P.S. I've read the whole thread twice, and still don't know what the hell POLO COUNTRY is all about.

@noobin89, couldn't have said it better myself. See below for a fun PRL find today....there is so much primo PRL it's nuts but there's a reason it's "been had" nickname.

Fun PRL from today

Yes, please keep skipping RL like my $7 Made in Italy PRL unstructured three-button navy jacket.

:)

I'll need to get pics. but it's the head of a Japanese Black bear(Wall mount). which is rare because 1, there are no bears around here, and 2,i wasn't aware that Bear taxidermy was legal in japan. i thought they were protected.
shop was closing, but i will return soon.

All right you Polo-philes. Here's a real challenge. Linen/cotton blend. Buttons half way down and has pleats on the front like a formal shirt. Dragon print and part of the "Estate Darow" collection. Any info?
