I hate seeing this, knowing you live near me.

Wait, is he from the Twin Cities?

Sorry guys... I probably got too excited. It's not a lot of rare stuff, but a wide breadth of cool stuff. 99 cents each.

I'm especially stoked about the S/T Dylan, the Black Market Clash, the BRUCE, ,the Miles Davis, the Decline of Western Civ OST (which is rare!) and the Tom Waits.

That's a great solid haul. There's a lot of staples in there. They also appear to be in fantastic shape. Well done!

Best 10 minute thrift quickee in a long time. Had a few minutes to kill before picking up my daughter. One stop: Polo Ralph Lauren brown leather bomber jacket with awesome patina (damn thing weighs almost 5lbs.), EUC Allen Edmonds Franklin, NWOB Allen Edmonds Sedona, Arnys tie, and a beautiful pair of NIB Crockett & Jones Bermuda oxfords in "ocean" (blue) suede.

Photographic evidence is requested, lest the veracity of your claims be in question.

Hermes
Kiton
and so many more

I had however heard of the following:

Sears
Boscovs
JC Penneys
Hechts
and Macys (though we never had one)

Growing up we were the lower middle class kids in the rich kid school district. My mother wanted us to go to the best schools which just happened to be where the wealthy kids went to school. So, I had heard of Brooks Brothers, Nordstrom, Hermes, etc. But, its only been since I have been interested in thrifting that I heard of Zegna, Kiton, Brioni.

When I was a kid (1980's) the rich kids just wore Izod/Lacoste and then Polo. There was a local independent men's store that carried labels/brands like Hickey Freeman and Brooks Brothers. But, if I was getting clothes it was going to be hand me downs from cousins or from Montgomery Wards, Sears, JC Penny or Venture.

In grade school, getting a pair of Nike's was my mother's motivator for a certain number of A's and B's. But, they were always the canvas version. We couldn't afford leather. I remember seeing a girl in High School that had a Louis Vuitton purse and I thought it was goofy looking with all the weirdly designed initials on it.
A bit off topic. If I was a thrifting noob, I would probably pass on Kiton upon seeing its logo. For a grail brand, it sure has a juvenile looking logo. What's that red dot supposed to be? A basketball?

Nooo... That's the rare collaboration with 7-Up.

OK, ok, just like we agreed to stop dumping on Takai about the missing Rolex, we need to stop harping on Lectric about his backlog. The point has been made. He'll change, or he won't, and it's none of our business in the end.
Thank you!
And always beeline for the baseball bats when you get anything good, eh?
I always have my cart in front of me when in the racks. I never leave it unattended if even it's empty. It's a good habit to have.
What are these besides probably not worth the kop?
Yeah, i would leave those unless they are super cheap and would only Kopp for the novelty. I've been leaving all sorts of cheap selvedge on the racks lately.
You have to hang out with a certain kind of female for Hermes to come up in conversation. I only knew one who would talk about it until a few years ago. And she was the one who corrected my pronunciation.
I've always thought it was pronounced as "hermez."
I decided to go a little bit different today with my outfit for work.
Hat: Goorin (Thrift) Shades: Persol (Discount) Pack: Timbuk2 (Thrift) Shirt: James Perse (Thrift) Vest: Hysteric Glamour (Thrift) Pants: Lululemon (Thrift) Shoes: Pantafolo d'oro (Discount)
This whole hi tech outfit feels weird compared to my usual workwear and denim. It feels so...synthetic
Does your outfit make lots of noise when you walk?
got a nice ninja turtle vibe.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Speaking of gyming, i over worked on benching and pulled my right shoulder. My bench press went down 50 lbs. Because of that. I also avoid those high racks full of shirts. But when it comes to shirts, i have to let my left arm do all the over head shuffling. Be careful out there, Bros. #thriftinjuries

I think it's pronounced "air-mez" or "air-maize"

Ohhhhhhhhh yeah, you are right because of the "r" just like how you would pronounce comme des Garçons. I feel weird trying to pronounce how the French would. Like if i talk about Lanvin and pronounce it like "lon vangh" (errrrrrr, not sure about spelling...) people won't know what I'm talking about or i feel like a wannabe Frenchman. So, i just say "Lan ven" and call it a day.
