Alfred Dunhill Card holder, and its modern. I hate to let it go, but I got a ton of small accessories like this.

I found a Gucci tie with a original store tag still on it. Goes in my collection. I got More too....

Heres better pic's of one of the 800$ dollar peter max wrangler pairs I found. Even homie at F as in Frank vintage says "in all my digging I never found any Peter max wranglers" boy. I got two pair, stop playing.
I didn't even get to more recent finds yet fellas. :nodding:

I'm sure this is a dumb question to some of our incredible denim experts. But, here goes anyway.

I found a 70's Denim Shirt / Jacket that is blanket lined. It was made by a company called Enjoy in Singapore. BIG collar, definite 70's style.

If the denim feels sort of crispy and almost scratchy, does that mean it is raw denim?

is it raw? maybe!

if the color is very intense and uniform and it's scratchy and crisp, then it's most likely raw denim. with raw denim what you're feeling is the sizing - aka starch - that is applied to the warp yarns so that they can survive the tension and abrasion of the weaving process. most denim clothing is constructed of raw fabric and either sold that way or pre washed/faded etc as a finish.

but, some end consumers actually starch their denimz. people still do it but i think it's somewhat more common to see in vintage pieces. so it might just be a starched shacket. if there are fade lines, wash marks, etc but it's also stiff and scratchy then it's likely just been starched by the previous owner.

people used to do interesting things that you really don't see anymore. a pair of 70s redlines i sold had these creases ironed in at one point. even tho the creases weren't there, they had these hot fades running down the leg and they really showed off the twist. who creases denimz anymore lol?

BTW guy's im always interested in little tag's and papers from certain brands. There isn't much knowledge about the past of these items, and I want to eventually create a way I can share knowledge with folks, and im not going to try and capitalize on everything either. Thing's Im looking for are NOT just paper, People who were around to relate stories about the way brands existed could really help. Im looking for like people who are old enough to remember stores like Abercrombie, the gap, brook's brother's etc. Or even Movies or old show's that have stores in them or feature Items from designers prominently. There is a ton of neat stuff im finding out all the time about the past folks are really sleeping on. PLEASE, think of me if you see Canadian Hermes store in 90's documentary about counterfeit money for example. Department store stuff is ok too, if its real old.
