Don't eat carbs for 3 months, you'll fit into everything. Carbs are an illusion.

A delicious illusions.

I remember training and cutting weight, then that final push to make weight. It always sucked, and I found myself daydreaming about delicious things, like a burrito dos manos with sour cream and extra avocado from Baja Fresh (I lived in LA, and Baja Fresh was everywhere), or a Tres Leches pastry, or just some pasta. Or a bacon wrapped hotdog outside the Staples Center. Or a triple triple, animal style, yes to the bun (In 'n' Out, for you heathens) Or two hours of glorious dim sum. Fried stuff. Fried shrimp toast. Anyway, sure you get the idea.

Do I love the way I look right now? No. So I'll eat more moderately and eat more complex carbs and fewer simple ones, and keep working out and doing both a lot of resistance stuff and cardio, and drop the weight gradually. But unless there is a serious medical issue that requires a restricted diet, in which case, sure, I'll do it, I don't intend to put my body through what I did 10-20 years ago.

Baja Fresh was great until they started making their burritos dos manos with actual manos and wouldn't listen to protests that comiendo partes de cuerpo no es bueno.

I wasn't even done.

And pork belly confit. And baguettes. And pain au raisin. And a fresh, smoking hot, seafood pasta. And Italian rum cake, with pastry cream and fresh whipped cream. And key lime pie. The good ones, with cream to mellow out the acid, not the crap store bought ones. And apple pie. Pretty much any type of pie, but those are two of my favorite. And a philly cheesestake. And a huge bowl of pho (no, a small bowl will not do). And french butter on that baguette that I mentioned. And gong chau au ho, which is noodles, a brown sauce, and beef and green onions, about as good a noodle dish as you eat AFTER you eat dim sum. And white lotus buns, to be eaten after dimsum, with tea, which I believe is healthy. And a fresh cannoli. And a good pasty (seriously, that stuff is good if done right) And Tortiere. And Poutine. Oh man, the fries, thrice fried, cheese curds. Brown gravy. And the lamb burger at the Breslin, with April's thrice cooked fries.

I will add to the list as needed.

Well, it was more authentic, so I don't fault them.

baja fish tacos over baja fresh all day most days
I like both. I like Baja Fish when I've done a light workout, and am just chillin', and drinking a beer. Baja Fresh, though? After you've run, then done power exercises, then worked the pads and heavy bag and then sparred (or not, these days, I am mostly done with that... sad, I know), and you've drunk 2 L of water and are still thirsty, and you take a shower and everything aches and walking feels tiring, a gigantic burrito is where it's at.

I feel your pain, I gained 12 lbs and can barely fit into my pacs.

I don't even love dessert but I do love me some starchy carbs.
