New SF member and not sure where to find the answer you're looking for? Have a quick question that doesn't belong in a current thread? Welcome, you found the right place.

This is a weekly thread where new users can ask quick questions and get a solid answer. If a thread already exists that would be more helpful, we will point you in the right direction. The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked.....so ask away!

Hello, I'm a new member. I bought a pair of Clarks Senner Ave six months ago:

http://www.clarksusa.com/us/mens/mens-wide-width/Senner-Ave-Black-Tumbled-Leather/p/26066262

These shoes are made of tumbled leather. I've also bought Meltonian shoe cream black and neutral. The original color of these shoes are matte black. After applying a thin coat of cream (black or neutral) and buffing, they become too shiny for me. They look good, but I prefer matte black over shiny black. I can restore the matte color by applying a thin coat without buffing, but I think it's a bad practice if I don't buff my shoes often. I need a shoe cream that moisturize leather without shiny coat.

I'm considering Meltonian shoe cream cleaner #183: http://www.amazon.com/Meltonian-Shoe-Cream-1-5-Colors/dp/B00WFWB3KM
I'm not sure if this shoe cream cleaner moisturizes leather enough or not and will it become shiny after buffing ?

The same question with this product, Allen Edmonds conditioner cleaner: http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline/producti_SF570_1_40000000001_-1

Could you share some experiences in conditioning tumbled leather with me ?

I currently own a pair of Blue suede shoes and recently had an eye on camel suede shoe and liked it , but I don't know whether it will be good or not to own that pair
This is the link of shoes http://www.jabong.com/american-derby-polo-club-Khaki-Loafers-569020.html .If anyone can guide me that will it look good on most of the casual dress and are these good buy , it will be a great help.

Welcome to the forum, NK. To be honest, I am not a fan of those shoes. Any other options?

Welcome to the forum, dnk. Most conditioners will bring a bit of a shine to the leather. Those are the type of shoes I would pretty much wear without care. I'm not saying completely trash them, but just wear and brush them until they actually show signs of needing conditioner. I'm no shoe care expert, but the guys in this thread are http://www.styleforum.net/t/228153/the-official-shoe-care-thread-tutorials-photos-etc

Best of luck.

Brought three of my Kiton shirts laundered at a reputable Toronto cleaner for $7 each. One came back with a stain and 2 came back wrinkled...No way that I will be taking them back.

How do you all take care of your shirts? I realize this may have been discussed ad infinitum but I figure it would be nice for a discussion. Thinking of grabbing an iron and soak the stain in OxyClean. Ideas?

Thanks Murlsquirl, you've provided me a helpful link. I'll dig that thread and maybe find out something.
