Both are stout bastards. If you could choose only one...which one would you choose and why. "Ceteris paribus"...no contingencies or relevance arguments.

God speed the plow.

Hard to say. One is the sexy Italian (Mart) and one is the sobre Italian who loves to wear Church's (Moreschi)...both are so delish everyone can capish....

I agree with Doc's bold stand against miscegenation. The Marteganis are much nicer.

I don't like the mixed skins at all. Also, I think MARTEGANI are made to a higher standard. I'm sure RIDER can weigh in.

But that also puts Ron in a very difficult position. Whatever his answer is, he will look bad.

I seriously doubt he will weigh in beyond possibly describing the Martegani.

As for me, I'll pick the Martegani.

Aren't Marteganis slight more expensive retail?

Anyway Moreschi does more trendy designs, Martegani more classic.

I would probably pick Martegani every time. The above 2 shoes are a perfect example of why.

I would choose the Martegani. I also do not like the mixed skin of the Moreschi.

To my eye Martegani almost always looks better than Moreschi. Their styling just appeals to me.

From the Martegani and Moreschi I have seen and handled, let me just say that Martegani is the more substantial shoe.

They are both blake stitched but martegani uses more premium leathers, is more solidly constructed and better designs and lasts.
They come more at a premium price, regularly found at around $400 for very nice models and a great deal when you can get certain clearance models from RIDER for around $200.

Moreschi is less substantial, including the deerskin/calf mixed skin shoe above ( which i have no fondness for in general ; i dont think anyone can really do this shoe well)
retail prices may be similar, but from my experience with handling shoes, i just dont like the less premium ness of these shoes.

If you can get these below $200 it is great but a much better buy if you can get them for around $100.
