Yes, please ask, a rivet actually adds a lot I think.  And I feel like I have seen them on another Viberg boot recently, a non Cabourn, so perhaps it is indeed possible.  Seems weird to call that one element proprietary -- it's not like other boots don't have them.

Rivets would look great on some of the service boots proposed here, but also maybe on Half-Japanese..?  I am a fan of rivets.

So, the answer is.. maybe. Will know next week.

I totally forgot about the ripple sole! Is it too late to propose another build? If not, here goes. We could call it "The Trimhound Special"

Model: Boondocker
Last: 110
Leather: Natty CXL Roughout
Tongue: Smooth Natty CXL
Eyelets: 7, dark brown like the stock Boondocker
Midsole: Natural
Sole: Wedge, mini-ripple (cream)
Other: Partially structured toe, pull tab, tonal stitching on the upper/white on the sole

I joined just to give a thumbs up for the "Half-Japanese" old style work oxford, exactly the way proposed.

Very awesome. Nothing else like it, classic but different, clunky-ish look works perfectly with Viberg vibe and construction, unlike some of the sleeker Viberg efforts at derbies.

Hope this one is a go.

Just want to confirm that this build has the traditional white stitching on sole? Is the estimated price going to be $720?

Personally, im not a fan of black or navy suede. Lighter color suede brings out and highlights the texture IMO.
