Ouch. What happened?

Here is what I posted over on Cutter and Tailor about the situation with the shears. Unfortunately the situation remains unresolved. If anyone here reads this and ordered thru this guy Gustavo, please contact me. And if you support the return of everyone's money, please check and support the Facebook page about it.

Hello members,

Sorry for the previous vague messages on this thread, but buyers of the shears from this forum have a problem. Unfortunately, I've had to hire a lawyer in Portugal to file both a criminal and civil complaint against the user here "Gustavo" who started this thread about the 13" tailors shears.

I joined Gustavo (https://www.facebook.com/sartoriaallen) in enabling this order of 150 shears to happen. Of the 150 pairs, I paid him for 110 of them, and he has taken my money (and yours) and done something unethical with it instead of paying the factory. He admitted to my attorney that he had a "personal problem" but is now hiding behind the skirt of an attorney and has refused to sign a "confession of debt" and repay the funds.

Less than half our money has ever made it to the factory, and thru my attorney I forced delivery of the only pairs that were actually paid for. If some of you heard that shears were delivered, this is why.

Originally, after I became aware there was a problem, a phase ensued in which shears for both of our customers were supposed to be sent in a coordinated effort where he was required to pay the entire remaining balance to the factory, but after giving Gustavo several opportunities to pay the factory, his false statements became untenable and action was required.

After that phase, Gustavo was then given several opportunities to return my funds to me directly, but never did. After that point he was give several opportunities to sign a confession of debt, but again, played for time and never did. Finally, formal legal action has been taken after he hired a lawyer that has ignored us for 3 weeks.

Members here can comment and follow the situation as it evolves on a Facebook page that is dedicated to this problem:

https://www.facebook.com/PayUsBackGustavo

Any additional members that are ensnared in this can contact me over PM. Options for a class action to return everyone's money are being explored, and so the more folks that join, the more forceful the case.

At this point he owes me almost 8000 Euros + interest, legal fees, and other fees involved in recovering my funds, so as you can see the amount is significant (and growing), and hopefully you can understand why I've had to resort to these actions.

I am sorry to everyone that supported this great community and project, Gustavo has taken a wonderful endeavor and transformed it into a self destructive stain on his reputation and integrity.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm going to have to decline for now. Thank you for sharing the opportunity, though!
