That's Garbo's favorite fragrance. I like it too....similar to Chanel pour Monsieur, I think. Have you tried Acqua di Parma?

Today I investigated the different formulations of Cristalle and sampled TDC's Sel de Vetiver. I tell you this because no one else will care.

SOD is Labo's Vetiver 46. I have been playing with Blenheim Bouquet on and off and will add that to the rotation for something completely different from my two mainstays.

I think CDG white is going to be the first scent i purchase. I tried a couple cdg cents (sample vials) and i thought that one was the most versatile. Plus, this girl i was hanging out with on saturday was almost intoxicated with it. She kept hugging up on me and telling me that i smelled really good. I really liked odeur 71 the first time i tried it on me, but the second and third time i tried wearing it, i didn't feel the same way.

I'm probably going to get another in a month or so.

Creed is one of the oldest fragrances around. It was established in 1760 by an Englishman named James Henry Creed. Today, it is run by his descendant, Olivier and son, Erwin Creed. They are now based in Paris. I like the fragrances and they are unique in their own right. Several fragrances are renowned because of the famous people that wears Creed. Popular fragrances for men are: Milleseme Imperial, Bois du Portugal, etc. I'm lucky enough to be able to get a bottle of Olivier Creed's creation called "Feuille Verte". It's a limited edition and he only made 200 bottles and the first one he gave to the Crown Prince of Spain. It's very fresh and belongs to the "Green" category. Whenever I put it on, it reminds me of an early morning walk in the middle of a forest.

As anticipated, Blenheim Bouquet.

I had been using a small 5ml sample bottle until now so today I also went out and got full size.

I've tried the Colonia Assoluta and am considering buying a bottle when I'm in Rome. It didn't engage me the first time I tried it, but the drydown has a little something that I quite liked. Might have to dredge up the sample.

I heard from a perfumista that she very much liked Sel de Vetiver. I liked a peppery (since we were talking salt...) vetiver scent from Malizia, which - as best I can tell - is an Italian firm whose line-up resembles the "Axe" brand, but with a bit more class (I hope). And of course we care.

Today I went with a comfortable scent, a bit more commercial and mainstream than my usual fare - John Varvatos. I figure we've got perhaps another week or two of winter left this year, and I might as well start really using these wintery scents.

Awesome! When in Rome, check out this fragrance shop. Let me know what you think of it. I have a bottle of the Patchouli.

I've been wearing YSL's L'Homme recently. Love the fragrance, however, it floats off of me very quick. Can't tell I'm wearing anything unless you press your nose to me. Anything I can do to combat this, or any fragrance suggestions for something that wont fly off so quick?

Oh, there are plenty of fragrances that don't fly off so quick...

One you might check into is Caron Third Man (Le Troisemme Homme). Fairly similar iirc, a bit different here and there but a similar feel.

As far as keeping L'Homme around longer, I've heard people tell me about applying lotion to their skin and letting it soak in before spraying. Worth a shot.
