I found some photos of various MTO Ring Jackets and Suits they have done for clients on-line. Not all of these are Ring fabrics. The flannels were listed Barbera fabrics. Pretty cool stuff here....

For the trunk show and Meetup Khaki's will also be bringing along some of their khaki pants and several new wool and cotton cashmere models. If you haven't tried these you are in for a treat. They have both a regular and a washed khaki fabric in several different colors. These are a custom pant designed by Jim Ockert for the store and made in Brooklyn. I just picked up a pair two weeks ago and especially like the new "contemporary" trim tailored fit. They also offer a new "slim" fit. These khakis are a remarkable wardrobe staple.

I will wear my new khakis to the meetup.

Gus do you know if we have to request to have our size there for try on? I wear a size 30 and have 2 pairs in the contemporary but wondering if I should try the slim?

Ignore the length they are too long and are being shortened as we speak

You would have to ask Jim, but my impression was that they were going to bring along one of each size in their two fits and in various fabrics. That way you can dial in your size and order any specific pant.

By the way, the new contemporary fit has a bit more of a taper than their pervious version. I like it a lot. In fact I like it better than the fit of the Incotex contemporary at 2x the price. I'm wondering if the pant you show in the pic is the previous version? You will want to try on both of the new versions to see what works best for you.

The new slim is pretty trim through the seat and thigh. I was with Ian (blogger From Squalor to Baller) and he got himself a pair. They were perfect for him. They were too trim for me.

^^^Hey, nice shoes, BTW :)

Khaki's also plans to bring examples of their Edward Green and G&G shoes. One of the things I've always enjoyed about the store is that Jim and Connie are rather fearless about try things that are new and different. Jim loves quality shoes and every time I see him he has on a different "killer" pair of MTO EG's or G&G's. Some of this is carried over into his RTW line that will be at the Trunk Show. Look at these blue suede shoes with the natural edging, or the calf and suede mix.

I took this pic in the store two weeks ago. If you see anything that you like, call the store and ask for Jim. He knows his shoes and offers excellent advice on fit as well as shoe care.

Ive been working with one of the associates at the store who said the trousers look like they fit well and I am not someone who enjoys a super slim trouser. I prefer a comfortable fit with a slight taper.

The pant I show was an older stock pant with cashmere/wool blend. So buttery. I think a pair was sent to me in contemporary but it was a bit fuller so I did a special order in a size smaller and let the waist out in them.

But I agree that the trousers have a great hand and great construction. I dont like my contemporary incotex in comparison and the other high end pants are my Pantas which are great but I prefer these a lot.

I ordered a pair of olive cotton as well as tan wool trousers as well from their MTO program :slayer:

Justin, based on your description I think you will enjoy their brand new contemporary fit. It will have a classic fit but with just a bit more tapper from the knee down. My first impression of the fit was that it looks neat and tailored giving it a bit more style without being a skinny fashion pant. I'm a fan.

Thanks everyone for the positive response so far. We're really looking forward to meeting everyone.

Just a quick note: While we're encouraging appointments for our trunk show, we will be allowing walk-ins, too.

So, if you feel like popping by during the day (maybe during lunch), then give us a quick call (831-277-4975) and we'll escort you up to our suite.

We really want to provide as much opportunity as possible for everyone to come and see Ring Jacket's fit and quality for themselves.

Again, if anyone has a question about the trunk show, email us at [email protected] and you can set an appointment here.
