I'm looking for something with a good atmosphere (outside seating?) that is not too heavy and not overly expensive. Something with good salads, grilled meats, etc. would ge ideal. It doesn't have to be in BH necessarily since I will be driving around anyway but that would make things easier. I'm sure any of these suggested would work great, but if you think there is anything else I should take a look at, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks again for the input.

With that focus I'd say The Farm and Chaya are the two best suggestions you've gotten.

I've never been to Vito's, but I favor Mulberry Street for thin crust pizza in Beverly Hills.

I don't recall Chaya having outdoor seating. Great decor, but the food did not really suit me.

How about Barefoot Cafe on 3rd? Not my favorite place, but quite popular. Also in BH is Breadbar which features freshly made bread and great sandwiches and salads. Both of these have outdoor seating and are located near Cedars.

If you want outdoor and maybe "see someone" you can eat at Urth on Robertson. Sat next to Pink and Alanis Morissette before.

Now, I want the honey vanilla latte.

Urth is a PERFECT suggestion. Very LA, great food, casual, beautiful young people, and fair chance of seeing a celebrity. There's also one on Beverly Dr., but I like the one you mentioned better.

I haven't been in a while, but I think Chaya has a back patio, no?

If you hit the Urth on Beverly on weekday mornings, you run a chance of seeing lawyerdad, which pwns an Alanis sighting anyday.

I will also be in LA this weekend, but now that I know how many friends I have from the "tool" thread I will be rolling incognito.

Ivy at lunch for the BH experience, but the Ivy for dinner is much better IMO. More intimate, laid-back, and better food.
