Not sure if you're aware, but there is an American remake, "Gracepoint", that David Tennant also stars in.

That said, I haven't seen either, but both are on my to-watch list.

If someone has seen both - are both worth watching, or is one clearly better? It'd really help me cut down on my backlog.

^heresy.

I couldn't get into Peaky Blinders, just not my thing I guess. I'm too biased to judge recent Sherlock episodes properly, but the show as a whole does something special with the character(s) and adds to it in a way that most adaptions don't.

A two year old NBC show called Siberia. How did I miss this? A fake reality show about contestants surviving in Siberia. Saying much more about the plot would be giving too much away, but it's great. Reminds me a lot of a BBC show from a while back called Dead Set. Same kind of feel. Starts off as a reality show, turns into a horror movie.

I recommend.

I just caught most of the first episode of a PBS series from last year, I'll Have What Phil's Having. This would be Phil Rosenthal the main creative behind Everybody Loves Raymond. I was not much of a fan of that show but caught it every once in a while. I always wondered why the Raymond character came off as so Jewish. I now know. Phil Rosenthal might be the most Jewish narrator of a TV series I have ever come across.

The first epi is in Tokyo and very worth the watch, IMO. I plan to watch the rest of the series.

Just watched the premiere of Billions on YouTube.

I'm pretty hooked so far. Hell of an opener too lol.

Nice to see Dick Winters doing well for himself post-WW2 :D

I caught 2 episodes of The Man in the Hightower last night. Interesting show. Not sure I get all the hype.

I also watched an episode of Mozart in the Jungle. Might give it some more attention.

Just watched the Italy show of I'll Have What Phil's Having. If you like travel/food shows watch it.

Bloodline is solid. 7.5/10

Subtle and nuanced storyline with good character development. Very nice cinematography and well-executed dialogue and screenplay.

I'm several epis deep and it's just not resonating with me. The best thing about it have been the **** scenes with the chick from Freaks and Geeks/Mad Men.

Finished Season 1 of Catastrophe which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Saw most of season 1 of Peaky Blinders but I felt it trailed off a bit. Will go back to it soon.

Will finally get to the season finale of Jessica Jones this weekend.

Might pick up Man in the High Castle after I finish the above off.

Wow, I think I was sold during the first episode. Drew close to home with some of the family dynamics too.
