What would you wear with this jacket?

I just bought this seersucker jacket (hasn't even arrived yet). I like it because it's unusual with a short cut but I'm not sure what I'll wear it with, specifically pants. The striped trousers look good on the model but I'm more traditional and will stick to solids. What would you pair this with, in terms of pants and shirt?

Pair it? A bonfire.

It is hideous and I cannot imagine how you want to be seen wearing that in public.

As the jacket has a busy pattern, I'd wear a neutral shirt and pants (solid color as you suggested); you don't want to stick out too much. Specifically, I'd go with darker pants (black/navy) and a lighter shirt (white or light pink button-down).

All best,
Austin

Light green dress shirt and sky blue pants. In other words, using color to distract from the unattractive pattern.

Ok, I tried really hard to like it, and think of something to go with it. The best I could come up with is an overcoat.

Seersucker?! More like seersucking.

However, be sure to post back with pictures of a proposed outfit so we can see if this thing is as horrible as it looks in the picture above.

Yes, please do, I get the feeling that the models and how they shoot them makes the Black Fleece stuff look less appealing.
