@EliodA that comment about Vox's tie dimples and buttoning point awarded you a feature on his blog! Way to go!:slayer:

On another note, it makes me wonder: if he reads SF so much (he often quotes SF members - Styleforum dudes - on his blog), why doesn't he post anymore? I could use his knowledge and opinions! Wish I became a member here before he and others left!

$25 Chinese SC off Ebay (unshortened slevees yet)
$20 local tailored white shirt
$40 local tailored black pants
$30 Hugo Boss tie
$100 Brioni belt
$150 Tod's black shoes

Probably the most sartorially wrong or el cheapo shot I got but also the most complimented. Go figure...

Vox sure likes to keep up with the gossip. Reading SF is his equivalent of googling yourself.

When your most expensive article of clothing in a fit is a belt with a large B on, you are doomed for failure.

Expecting great results with "more expensive" items usually ends with failure. In the real world the one with the most compliments wins.

the point is to be so well dressed as to be unnoticed

That's the stupidest old chestnut of "dressing correctly". If you have to agonize on how to look like Joe Schmo in clothes you are doing something wrong and just wasting energy.

Joe Schmo would look a hell of a lot better if he followed that rule. I certainly notice how poorly he dresses.

LOL. In the real world. If you want the real world, go buy some skinny lapel designer crap, and wear some chucks/jack purcells with them.

Can't tell is Riva is serious or not with his fit...

Yes 1000+ pages of people wearing $2000+ worth of navy suit, white shirt, white striped tie, and brown brogue. A forum of styles?

You obviously haven't paid attention
