@EliodA that comment about Vox's tie dimples and buttoning point awarded you a feature on his blog! Way to go!
On another note, it makes me wonder: if he reads SF so much (he often quotes SF members - Styleforum dudes - on his blog), why doesn't he post anymore? I could use his knowledge and opinions! Wish I became a member here before he and others left!

When your most expensive article of clothing in a fit is a belt with a large B on, you are doomed for failure.

the point is to be so well dressed as to be unnoticedExpecting great results with "more expensive" items usually ends with failure. In the real world the one with the most compliments wins.

Yes 1000+ pages of people wearing $2000+ worth of navy suit, white shirt, white striped tie, and brown brogue. A forum of styles?the point is to be so well dressed as to be unnoticed

Joe Schmo would look a hell of a lot better if he followed that rule. I certainly notice how poorly he dresses. That's the stupidest old chestnut of "dressing correctly". If you have to agonize on how to look like Joe Schmo in clothes you are doing something wrong and just wasting energy.
