Trying something monochromatic today. I hemmed/cuffed the trousers with a slight break, in order to be a bit more conservative. I think I like it. I still need to sew on the sleeve buttons, but I'm wearing the suit for a day in order to determine whether I should shorten the sleeves or not.

Monkey, naturally, I like the colors, but I don't like the weird stripes on that suit. Is that a self stripe? Blah.

It's a herringbone. I quite like it. It offers some surface interest, but resolves to a solid from about a foot or two away. It's hard to photograph a herringbone though, I'm sure better lighting and a camera will help it come out better.

Monkey, maybe it just me, but the whole suit sleeve balance seems off. Meaning a huge sleeve head and then a very exaggerated tapper down to the sleeve. Anyone else see this?

I'm fighting off a little cold today so open collar it is:

It's a stylistic choice, all Sartoria Partenopea suits in this cut have a sleeve and spalla camicia shoulder like that. I guess it's not to everyone's liking. I'd say it gives a more muscular appearance, but you have to have the body for it.

Check out the tumblr to see the posts that I highlighted. There are a lot of other good fits too, but I usually try to get variety, and really, let's be honest, for tumblr, photo quality does matter (which is why hardly anything I photograph will ever get there:) http://styleforumnet.tumblr.com/

Follow, comment. Tell me I'm right. Tell me I'm wrong.

Cheers,

Fok.

its nice looking, but i do think i would personally like a wider sleeve opening there. not aggressive enough to dislike though.

The angle enhances these features heavily. Looks pretty awesome to me.

Yeah, it is a very "bespoke" thing in general. Bespoke sleeves are usually wider at the top to give more mobility and are typically wider at the elbow than typical RTW to reduce wrinkles due to arm bending. Things like this are a sign of a well thought-out fit, imo. I hate skimpy sleeves.

I understand and enjoy the Neapolitan sleeve head, I was just more concerned with the tapering of the sleeve. Regardless, I like the look. :slayer:
