Anybody know a good way to get copy-protected DVDs into h.264 or at least to decrypted .vob so I can put them on my iPod? I tried handbrake but it's the Windows version and it doesn't seem to be able to get around any kind of copy protection (while my roommate's Mac can do it with no sweat).

What program does your roommate use on his mac (I use a mac) and did the dvd play on your PC?

Handbrake, and yes.

I found a program (appropriately) called DVD to iPod which worked for the first movie I tried, so hopefully it will work for the rest of them.

wow multi-platform too. looks more promissing than Mac the Ripper. I have noticed that the apple drives are less susceptible to copy protection constraints. I was able to copy Rosetta Stone and play them on a Mac, but could not get it to even read on Windoze.

Dusty - do you have a link to download this one? I've been trying a couple of freewares and cannot find one that converts protected DVD to iPod format
