OFFICIAL UPDATE: AE SF GMTO

After 3 days of polling, we have so far received 75 responders, which is way more what I expected. Thank you very much for your interest in this project!

The good news is that we will probably have enough numbers to pull off the GMTO, probably more than one design if Paul will agree to it. The challenge now is to REALLY figure out which designs we will submit for pricing.

I initially posted that designs from the current poll that would receive at least 10 votes would move on to the next round. It appears I under estimated the number. That said I dont want to renege on this thus all designs in this poll that reach a minimum 10 votes of interest will move to the next phase which is determining the full spec.

So without further ado, these are the designs with at least 10 votes of interest

Eagle County Brown Grain Calf 1040 (welt & sole details TBA) est. price $350-$395 - 25 votes

The next step is to identify the full spec of each design determined via majority vote. To chime in on the full specifications of the make-ups you signified youre interest in, please access this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7HZ9BLY

Once the full spec is determined, we will then have another poll to see how many orders there will be for each shoe. This is when we should see some designs drop off because then personal budget and redundancy in design (who needs 4 pairs of EC?) is factored into our selection.

The designs with sufficient potential orders will be submitted to Paul for pricing adjustment then we confirm the orders by submitting our CC details to AE.

As a noob when it comes to AE MTO, could someone explain the available welt and sole options? Colour/finish presumably, and I guess there's a heavier Rendenbach sole option as my shell AEs have them...but different welt stitching? Double soles?

Rather than submit 5 Eagle County and 3 Townley GMTO's, it seems like AE would be best served to simply put these shoes back in prodution with multiple leather options. Perhaps that will be the result of these GMTO's.

I doubt we will have the numbers to submit all make ups. Once people are forced to vote for the shoes they actually plan on ordering I see only 1-2 ECs left and 1 or maybe no (gasp!) Townley at all.

Survey taken. I thought it was best for me to just click every single box w/r/t the brown shell Townleys, because I'm really pretty flexible as to what I'd be interested in and I'm happy to rely on others to help narrow the options down. I hope that doesn't subvert the process too much.

Yeah, the second question (or was it the third?), which asks for a Yes/No vote on the Townleys, is a bit confusing because of the price ($365) you listed, WatchIdiot. I want shell Townleys, not calf, but wasn't sure whether to check Yes or No.

In any case, let me also echo my thanks for the work you're putting in, WatchIdiot. It's much appreciated.
