I wonder if people ever get excited about a sudden surge of posts in this thread, thinking "ooo they might be having a meaningful discussion!"

Nope. We're talking about flexing, cricket, and fast food.

And plumbing.

it is always evolving

Meaningful discussion? In the GNAT? puzzled.gif

To be serious for a second, I think this thread is dying, if not dead already. The initial spike in activity was to set me straight. Now that I am somewhat headed in the right direction, I think we are just going around in circles. Unless we have another "Noodles" who would benefit from advice from senior members, this thread has no purpose for its existence. We're now in "goof around" mode here.

Nah...given the regulars, this can be a fun place to park it for a while in the Forum. All good natured shooting the sh*t. Occasional advice sought.

It is largely dead as an advice thread for you, though. But that's a good thing, no?

Hmmm...yes, it is dead to me as far as advice go. I am not saying I have learned everything. But I think I have learned enough (thank you all) that I just need to confirm my purchases or fine tune my knowledge at this point. But nowadays, I think we're just goofing off 90% of the time. But it's cool that we can have interesting conversation here without anyone being mean, it's all good folks here.

How can this thread be dead to you when you've not even tried to wear an odd jacket?

Oh cr@p. Once I stock up on my staple suits. That's the route I was gonna go down. That's going to be one heck of a project for me trying to piece together different stuff. I think some time within 6 months, I am going to start having picnic attacks due to my failures and confusions with odd jacket look.

I for one cannot wait for the saga of Noodles trying to wear odd jackets. In the meantime, that $65k could probably get Noodles a lot of Formosa bespoke and leave some money left over for Noodles to waste on bad idea odd jackets and trousers.

All kidding aside, Noodles, you've made some solid progress and look way better in your new suits and ties than your old ones. Keep it up.

Appreciate the compliment. If I had this much struggle with suits, just try to imagine how much trouble I will have with odd jackets. Oh dear Lawd~

At least you won't have fit issues this time around since you've got that nailed down. Getting in on the Formosa GMTOs may not be a bad way to get a few odd jackets if they're still doing them once you have your staple suits.

Thinking about picking up a few items from NMWA:

Would be nice to hear some opinions as in thinking of buying 3 of these items max.

What do you guys think of these:

I actually considered all of the above but I didn't get any.

I didn't get the 1st one and just got a Hober.

I didn't get the 2nd one due to the pattern. Just didn't like them.
