No. Breitling is a bit of an aquired taste and there's no question the Navitimer is busy.
The Navitimer is one of the iconic Breitling models dating back to the 40's.
The 24hr Cosmonaute was worn by Scott Carpenter on his Mercury flight in 62.

I have no doubt it's an acquired taste; I simply doubt that I will ever acquire it, at least not for that particular model. And while I can appreciate the historicity of a certain watch, historical usage alone doesn't make my esteem for the watch itself to arise. I've never been one for vicariously being an astronaut. Just kidding, no offense to anyone. If you like it, don't let my tastes stop you.

Honestly, I wouldn't go for either of those, I'd go for the new version with the 8500 movement. Developed in-house as opposed to developed around an ETA base. Only available with a super dark grey or light silver dial (for now), but I'd say it's a better watch. All the ATs are available with a deployment clasp, to my knowledge.

Isn't this the same as the one you got (PAM 112)?

Or did something happen to that?

I thought I remembered reading that something like that had happened - sorry to hear it.

Whoah. Nice response/buzz. Thanks for all the kind words guys. Preciate it.

And, yup. The croc is OEM. It is darn near perfect. Still, I'm craving one of those nubuck straps also ...

* Ahem, I misspelled Paneristi in my original post. (blush)
