Most modern Tiffany mechanicals use ETA 2892A2 derived movements. I don't know who does the cases or modifications.

My Tiffany Regulator is based on a 2892.

Guys, I'm in a pickle here. I'm looking for a new watch to wear besides my Seamaster Pro, and decided to go, seeing as I already own a diver, with an aviation-themed watch. I went to check out Breitling, but tbh they felt flimsy compared to my Omega.

I narrowed it down to these two choices:



SPM Co-Axial Chronograph, the 50th anniversary limited edition, 42mm, mechanical, from 2008.

or




SPM with a gold bezel & pushers, 38mm, automatic, from the 90's (IIRC it was made in '96)


I like the LimEd because it has a display caseback, it's a bit bigger & it's newer. The golden one looks better fit to wear with a suit/classy outfit though & is less expensive. I don't think one could convert the caseback to a crystal one though (on the golden one).


Any advice guys?

I wear my Speedy Pro with a suit and it looks fine. But mostly, I way prefer the tri-compax design to the unbalanced "Valjoux 7750" look.

Hmm. I don't actually own a car, living in NYC and all. I do rent hybrid cars by the hour though. To shop at big box stores and get major discounts when I purchase 48 rolls of tissue paper! That sounds pretty boring, right!

I get your dilemma, but perhaps because of a slightly trivial reason: I like the date feature for the SPM with a gold bezel. However, hard to beat the 50th anniv edition for all the reasons mentioned above. Personally I'd go for the SPM with a bracelet but that's just because of my own preferences and given that I have other watches on leather straps that I can use for different occasions. I don't own a SPM (deciding between this one and another piece recently and I went for the other piece), but if I had one I'd probably want a bracelet so I can swim with it, etc.

Oh, you had to let go of this beauty? Love these pics! And one of several?

I'll concede that fighting crime in tights while running around on rooftops burns far more calories and keeps me in better shape than if I just drove around in my batmobile all the time. With that said, all the bone breaking can scratch up those cases and bracelets. Best to leave the watches at home before I put on the costume.

On topic, this is me with my 3970 on right before I put on the bat costume tonight.

Thank you! Now I have nothing to worry about if Bane or one of my arch-enemies tries to cripple my operations by siphoning off the resources of Wayne Corp. I beat them to it! I do have to make sure they don't get at the watches.

Not a fan of that shoe personally, but if you dig it, more power to you. But more importantly, invest in more shirts for that watch, less shoes

I would have to disagree witth with this statement, shirts are a dime a dozen! Certain dress shoes and sneakers are much harderto come by!
