How to wear a white casual cotton or linen jacket?

I've searched the forum, but haven't found anything on this topic. I apologize if this has been covered before.

What would you suggest wearing with a white or off-white linen or cotton casual jacket? Obviously, I'm talking about summer in warm climates. Is any look destined to be douchy or can it look refined? Pics would be great!

Similar questions have been asked before. Colorful lightweight pants or maybe relatively lightweight denim that isn't dark. Lightweight footwear such as suede or white bucks, nothing solid black. Almost any kind of lightweight shirt can work, albeit not a tee shirt with rather dressy footwear.

Cream or ivory is far more versatile than white. I buy white jackets and then never wear them and give them away. I do wear the cream linen. Avoid linen with a yellowish cast. It isn't flattering to most skin types.

Go for light gray pants for dress. Barbera ^^^ wears white but while that look seems ok in photos, in real life it just doesn't seem to work for some reason. Maybe a little too costumey, like you are an extra in Casablanca :)

I wear mine all the time with blue, lavender or pink shirts and broken in denim.

Find a great pocket square. Madras plaids in muted or dusty colors work like magic against natural linen colors.

For shoes consider tan loafers, medium brown suede, dusty bucks, light brown calf or some fun color driver.
