Thanks for the details. It looks great.

What is the actual color you ordered from them?
If we pick a color that is not the walnut offered by the website, is there a change in price?

And lastly, I'm planning on going to SF in January and would prefer to order or buy my bag in person, any ideas when this bump in price you guys are talking about will happen?

thanks

Finally got around to "patinaing" my dads old case - I dig it! I did the same process on the bag that I do to polish my shoes, only I added some black polish and swirled it deep into the leather to give it some highs and lows.

Whatcha think?

Anyone looking for a stylish, highly functional briefcase, handmade by an exceptional craftsman, should consider a Glaser Designs briefcase.

When my sons were still in high school and seriously into skateboarding, I asked them if they would bring my bowtop Papworth case to school and/ or while they were skateboarding, to impart some "used look" to it. Alas, they didn't agree.

Two of my recently acquired treasures. Swaine Adeney wrap-round document case (chestnut) and a Filson Field Satchel. Colors are a bit off; phone camera.

The last image is the same bag, with the fastening straps removed.

^^ SAB and a Filson? I hate you

. Probably my two favorite bags. I've come incredibly close to pulling the trigger on the Filson 3 or 4 times but still don't have one.

Beautiful. What shade was the leather before you "patina-ed" it?

A full color/shade lighter, you could tell that my shoes and my case did not match - but after using the same polish and creams for my shoes on the case, it really darkened it up and made them identical in person

and ty for the compliment

The Filson is very nice and sturdy not rough at all. I do like the way the buckles work on it better than the SAB, but I also like the color of the SAB more. I have articles from both, they are at the best quality of each respective continent.
