Is the Robert last out permanent from your stockmodels? If so its a shame. Its a fare more elegant last than forest.

I prefer the Forest myself if I have to chose between the two. We're slowly phasing out all Robert make ups.

Make that two. I got mine directly from Carmina back then which offered the balmoral boot in the forest last, and i must say the forest last works very well on this boot, wouldnt change a thing.

That is too bad. I regret that I didnt pull the trigger on the balmoral boots last autumn.

The forest last looks more robust than the robert last so I think the latter one is more suitable for a dress boot. Its all down to preferences.

The robert last never seem to attract much attention here at SF, so based on that I understand if you are phasing it out.

I really like the Robert last, I think it's a bit of a shame that it doesn't get more recognition. My suede balmoral boots are amongst my favourite shoes I have. But Forest is a nice last as well, and I think most customers on here are more familiar with it.

For a bal boot I definitely prefer Robert to Forest. Really, what's not to like?

Placed an order on a pair of boots earlier today. Would've loved paying the shop a visit to try out the last, but job interviews will keep me busy today and I just couldn't miss out on the boots again.

I could go for a gmto on a robert last bal boot this fall! Some kind of suede and leather combo would be awesome.

If this year then I'm out. Just got alden tankers and waiting on 2-4 other boots (2 depend somewhat on luck/not getting screwed). Will try next spring.

speaking of robert last, a pair of those cognac shell boots available in size uk10.5.

@roger, those boots are awesome. Where did they come from? I agree about robert, better suited than forest for bal boot
